抄録(ABSTRACT)
This study investigates the impact of the emitting surface size of light sources on the perceived texture of illuminated objects, encompassing characteristics such as hardness, smoothness, and roughness. Particular attention is given to how luminous flux from miniaturized LED surfaces wraps around objects and generates modeling effects, which are essential for accurate texture representation. Based on the results obtained, this work proposes possible criteria for selecting the size of lighting fixtures with a focus on enhancing texture perception, with potential applications in residential lighting, commercial lighting, and art exhibition environments.
